First look at Jeremy Allen White as Bruce Springsteen in upcoming biopic

The first photo of Jeremy Allen White as Bruce Springsteen in the upcoming biopic “Deliver Me From Nowhere” was released by 20th Century Studios on Monday.

Clad in a Springsteen-esque leather jacket and flannel shirt, the 33-year-old Emmy winner has become the Boss for the film, which is slated for a 2025 theatrical release. Production is underway in New Jersey.

“Deliver Me From Nowhere” will showcase the making of Springsteen’s critically acclaimed and influential 1982 album “Nebraska.” Written and directed by Scott Cooper, the 20th Century Studios film is adapted from Warren Zanes‘ 2023 novel “Deliver Me from Nowhere: The Making of Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska.”

“Beginning production on this film is an incredibly humbling and thrilling journey,” said Cooper in a press release. “Bruce Springsteen’s ‘Nebraska’ has profoundly shaped my artistic vision. The album’s raw, unvarnished portrayal of life’s trials and resilience resonates deeply with me.”

The biopic is also set to star Jeremy Strong as Springsteen’s longtime mentor and manager, Jon Landau, Paul Walter Hauser as guitar tech Mike Batlan, Odessa Young as Springsteen’s love interest, Faye, Stephen Graham as his father and Johnny Cannizzaro as E Street Band member Steve Van Zandt.

White is best known for playing Phillip “Lip” Gallagher in the comedy-drama series “Shameless” and chef Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto in the Emmy award-winning series ‘The Bear.’
